Michael’s clear message against the sexual exploitation of children

November 17, 2010

This post is written by Suzy (and comes under my name purely for technical reasons).

Suzy says:

A previously unreleased Michael Jackson song has been leaked to the Internet and it became an immediate hit with fans. I’d say much more than the first official release of the “Michael” album “Hold my hand”.  No wonder: it’s a great tune with a very strong message and, unlike “Hold my hand”, written and fully sung by Michael himself.

Despite of all this, this song will not feature on Michael’s upcoming album.  Sony probably deemed it too risky to include because of the lyrics: it deals with the sexual exploitation of children and we all know that subject together with Michael Jackson’s name opens the door for a lot of unpleasant discussion in the media, and the record label likely wanted to avoid that.

They say the song was written around 1990, for the Dangerous album – so before Michael ever got accused of molesting children. It didn’t make on the Dangerous album and after 1993 probably had no chance to make it on any other Michael Jackson album either. Had Michael released a track where he sings against sexual child abuse after 1993, he probably would have been ridiculed, or worse, and he couldn’t have got the message through.

But the problem is not with Michael. He was innocent of what he was accused of, both in 1993 and in 2003. And this song just highlights what was really in his heart and mind about this subject.

The song:

The lyrics of the song:

Father comes home from work and he’s scared to death
Mother cries [for] the kid in that note she read
Father runs to the table, he said “What’s going on?”
Mother cries in disbelief “Our little baby is gone!”

Do you know where your children are,
Because it’s now 12 o’clock.
If they’re somewhere out on the street,
Just imagine how scared they are.

Do you know where your children are,
Because it’s now 12 o’clock.
If they’re somewhere out on the street,
Just imagine how scared they are.

She wrote that she is tired of step-daddy using her
Saying that he’ll buy her things, while sexually abusing her
Just think that she’s alone somewhere out on the street
How will this girl survive? She ain’t got nothing to eat!

Do you know where your children are,
Because it’s now 12 o’clock.
If they’re somewhere out on the street,
Just imagine how scared they are.

Do you know where your children are,
Because it’s now 12 o’clock.
If they’re somewhere out on the street,
Just imagine how scared they are.

Save me, From this living hell
Save me, Coz thats not what i do
Save me, I’m tired of dad
Save me, Coz this is nothin’ (Aoow)
Save me, Coz i’m on the curb
Save me, Coz i don’t wanna go
Save me, Coz terror is rising
Save me, Aoow

Now she’s on the move, she’s off to Hollywood
She says she wanna be a star, she heard the money’s good
She gets off from train station, the man is waiting there
“I’ll show you what the money is, girl, just let down your hair”
He’s taking her on the streets of Sunset Boulevard
She’s selling her body hot, girl that will you far
The police come around the corner, somebody they told
He’s arresting this little girl, she’s only 12 years old!

Do you know where your children are
Because its now twelve o’clock
If they’re somewhere out on the street
Just imagine how scared they are
Do you know where your children are
Because its now twelve o’clock
If they’re somewhere out on the street
Just imagine how scared they are

As I was listening to it, I thought of the likes of Victor Gutierrez and Thomas O’Caroll and how there is no way that real p-les would ever have it in their hearts or minds to write something like this – something against the sexual abuse of children. Their agenda is totally the opposite! In their sneaky (Gutierrez) or more open (O’Caroll) ways they want to break down society’s moral resistance against the sexual exploitation of children, not to raise awareness about the dangers of it like Michael does! Also, as far as I know, p-les don’t think what they are doing is wrong, so they obviously wouldn’t have it in their hearts to write a song like this.

Listening to this song, what happened to Michael in 1993 becomes even sadder. Before that he was someone who was the voice of children in need, the voice of children who were exploited in any way. But in 1993 Victor Gutierrez and his friends from NAMBLA (and their enablers from the Chandlers through the Sneddons and Dimonds of this World to the Arvizos) killed two birds with one stone: not only they managed to put a stigma on Michael (with the intention of using him as their poster boy), but they also shut him up about this very important subject, so that he would never be able to campaign against the sexual abuse of children without the risk of the media and the public ridiculing him for it. Tragic.

Credit to Suzy for writing this.

That song is probably and sadly stigmatised, but is more relevant now than ever before.

And I agree. It’s unfathomable to imagine anybody being guilty of the same crime to write such a thought provoking song. I understand it not being released, it is dark…but we need that to remind us that there are children who are going through this darkness. Michael tried to shine a light on it…and look at what we have nowadays trying to jeopardise that work. Makes me sick.

Lynette, hello. You reassured me. I can go to bed now feeling more comfortable.

I think Larry Feldman knew it was extortion and with Gavin Arvizo it was even worse – they used it just as a pretext for starting another case. The way the whole thing developed in 2003 it seems that everyone knew the case was absolutely shallow – Larry Feldman, Dr. Katz as well as Tom Sneddon.

I am still thinking about it and would like to make some conclusions in the last part about Feldman. It seems that all of them just had a kind of ‘an understanding’ that ‘this guy should be shown his place at last’ and the Arvizos were practically encouraged to make those allegations (not that it was a difficult thing to do).

It looks to me like Tom Sneddon was waiting for something to come up and Larry Feldman was assisting him. Even Feldman’s wife was part of it! Jo Kaplan is a referee working with abused children and she took part in their joint session with Dr. Katz where the psychologist was reporting his interviews with the family. It was on June 5, 2003.

I practically see Larry Feldman shaking his head when calling Sneddon and saying “it is not what we hoped for, but let’s make the best of what we have”.

It is agreement. I’m having a field day with Dr. Katz analyzing the Dr. Gardener tapes how lovely. That means that a whole chapter in their book is a bunch of hooie, just as I thought. Then Feldman got the wrong answer so he finds the one guy in the whole world that believes every single allegation he ever hears to back him up in court, instead of the guy the police sent Jordan to see.HMMMMMMMMMMM??? So Larry Feldman knew the whole thing was extortion and still went for the money. That makes him an extortionist too doesn’t it?

David, hello again – thanks for the translation.

I remember you wanted to make a post about Thomas Mesereau speaking in Harvard. Can I ask you to wait until next week again as I need to finish with Larry Feldman’s speech within the next few days? There will probably be only one more post about him – the way he handled the media and a couple of other things.

It seems I need to round up the discussion of Larry Feldman as it had a strange effect on our readers – the silence which has suddenly fallen here is either complete agreement or complete disagreement with me. Do you know which one it is?

“LOVED THIS MATTER CAN SHARE IN MY BLOG?”

Yes, you can use this in your blog, just include a link back to this blog, okay? Also, can you comment in English in the future? I had to go to Google Translate to understand what you said. If you’re not that good with English, you can go to Google Translate, type in your comment, and then cut and paste the English translation. Thanks!

Suzy, thank you again! The song is so great that we need to insert the lyrics into the video to make it more understandable for dummies like me. By the way we could even translate the lyrics into our own languages – we need this song to thunder all over the internet!

It will take some time to insert the lyrics as I’ll start the job only when back from the office (in 6 hours or so), and the process is time-consuming too.

You know, when you listen to this Michael’s song you realize that you cannot really dance to such music though it is quite melodical and the rhythm is good. It is the LYRICS which make you sit down and listen to it in awe. And the fact that Michael was writing this kind of songs means he was ready to sacrifice the song’s success to its message.

However now it is the song’s message which is making it a complete bombshell. It shows how close to heart Michael took the harm done to children through abuse and neglect by adults, and how deeply he felt the children’s pain as if it were his own.

This song is a powerful vindication weapon, though Michael of course didn’t mean it this way when he was writing it.

    @ Helena
I can help you with the lyrics!
No, MJ is not saying “Does it matter how scared they are?”, he’s saying “Just imagine how scared they are?

Guys, can I ask the English native speakers please to clarify those questions about the lyrics?
And though my ear is poorly trained it seems to me that at least at the end of the song Michael says “Does it matter how scared they are?”
In short can anyone help us with the lyrics?

Suzy, what an AWESOME song and what a MARVELLOUS post you’ve made about its great message!

To me it sounds like the ninth ocean wave imminent to smash real p-les as well as the ranks of those who still dare think incredible dirt about Michael Jackson.

This is really Breaking News – Michael is still fighting for children’s life, innocence and responsibility of adults to shield them from any harm as if he were alive!

I am so happy Michael’s message is ringing like a HUGE BELL now and that you, Suzy, have really made it happen.

I still cannot believe he is serial predator. It’s almost like….I we on the same planet? This song spoke to me when I first heard. It may have a bouncy beat, but beneath, it is a riveting, social conscious, message of child abuse. He was very aware of what went on in this world. And he was very aware of what people thought he was, and still does sadly. Even though sony is’t releasing this song no time soon, I wish they would though, it’s one of my new favorite songs. Along with hold my hand.
