A Gift For Michael

August 29, 2014

Heal the world. Michael Jackson Major Love Prayer heal the world every 25thHe would have been 56 years old today. You can imagine, what would Michael have been doing for his birthday? We’ll never know, but we know that he would have been here with his children, Prince, Paris and Blanket. They would have been celebrating, happily, with their father.

But just because Michael is gone, it’s never meant the celebrations for this day need stop. Every year without fail, fans have done so much and never forgotten to pay tribute to him on two separate occasions… The day of his death and the day of his birth. Flowers are laid down, songs are played and memories flourish, whatever they may be.

I think and I imagine, what would Michael love for his birthday? He’s not here to receive this gift, but I like to think he watches and knows what gift we can give to him. 365 days are in a year, and each one of those days, even in his darkest times of despair, he thought of the welfare of others.

His wish was for us to stop and think a little for those who suffer and have nothing – no families, no friends, no homes, not even clothes. Adults and especially children, who have little to no hope in their lives. We have rainforests torn down, oceans polluted and cities bombed to the ground. Everyday of every hour of every minute, somebody suffers. Homes are destroyed and lives are taken. From the streets you walk, to the land around you and far beyond the seas, there are people suffering.

Can we help improve conditions? Of course we can. There’s no good in sitting and hoping somebody else fixes the problem for us, because it’ll forever remain a constant thing.

Like Michael said, he couldn’t heal the world,  but he could help. Can we heal the world?

Soldier No.9

Soldier No.9

My honest answer?  I’m not sure. I don’t know if the world can be healed, especially with everything that’s going on. Conflicts seem to be everywhere these days over such petty reasons. Innocent people suffer and die over what, exactly?

Can anybody give me a good answer why there are wars raging and innocent adults and children must constantly get caught in the crossfire? Have we learnt NOTHING since 1914, the time of the first World War? No, obviously, we haven’t.

Humanity is still that same destructive force as it was back then and it’ll never cease within us, unfortunately and tragically.  Through this deadliest and most evil trait we have, everyday on the news we’re seeing tears of innocent victims. From the oldest citizen, to the youngest child, we see them crying in pain and fleeing in terror from our weapons firing over and at them. There are no heroes or villains in this, only victims. I hope at the end of the day, those who caused the deaths of the innocent, can pat themselves on the back for a job well done…a job that their children and grandchildren or great grandchildren will only be fighting all over again in the next several years.

Heal the world War and conflict benefits nobody or nothing. It causes pain and death. Why can’t we just leave the world alone and allow it a chance to heal? The hunger for power creates conflict and that fact will never change. So, because of that, broken pieces will be forever picked up by those whose lives have been shattered. Families lose their homes, children lose their parents and parents lose their children.

NOTHING can excuse what we’re doing to the world and those who have to live in it.

And this brings me to my idea. A present for Michael. In whatever way you think can do it, whatever way you’re capable, let’s do something that honours what he stood for – Helping others.

If you can think of anybody that needs help in anyway on August 29th, then you do it. I don’t want to come of to anybody as sounding preachy and saying this is what you should be doing, I’m not going to convince or guilt trip anybody. But what I’ve learned and discovered is, we are capable of making a difference to the world. Michael had no hope left, as he said. When you have no hope, you can easily throw in the towel and wash your hands of everything. He had no hope left in us, and he spent so much of his life believing in the best of us to carry out his dream, and that was to help make the world a better place. But who can blame him and so many of us who have no hope left, through not even a quarter of what I described above?

Who do we have to look up to? Leaders of Countries killing one another’s home and people? Celebrities more interested in money, partying, sex and drugs, propelled by a soul corrupting, media, money making machine and influencing impressionable children? Our children are the one last strand of hope that Michael had left to hold onto. He believed, right up until he passed, that our children would grow up to right the wrongs that we’re causing. Can our children stop the wars and senseless killings, fan the flames spreading across our jungles and forests and plug the waste polluting our seas? Maybe, they can. But we’ll never know unless we stop and think about what they’re being brought up around. What can we do to help them, help make this world better?  Have a think about it. Because something, no matter how big or small, helps make a difference.

Heal-the-WorldWe CAN help and make a difference.

I have 2 girls to look after in my relationship. I don’t want them to grow up in a world where we do nothing and yet, we actually CAN. I don’t want those girls influenced by the wrong things that plague us, all thanks to a bunch of celebrities who possess a lack of morals and a system that pushes them in front of our children’s eyes and world leaders who have no clue how to settle things other than with bloodshed. I don’t intend to sit back and do nothing.

We’re not Michael Jackson, though. We don’t have his power,  money or influence to create a big enough pedestal so our voices can be heard…even though Michael’s voice and message was heavily distorted by corrupt forces, who I assume work for the Devil.

But we must never forget his true voice and purest message – help our world and our children and we CAN possess that spirit, too.

Even just for his birthday, one day. Is that too much?

So, if you can, do something to help somebody out there. Whether it’s with your helping hand, or with a credit card. Do anything you can to help make a tiny difference in some poor soul’s life. If you have children, if you can, spend as much time of the day you have with them. Treat them to a little something and put them on that right path. Let somebody, anybody, whether it’s a stranger or a friend or a family member, let them know you love them. Because the world is seriously lacking this at the moment.

That’s not just a gift for Michael, it’s a gift for you and anybody blessed enough to receive it. That’s what he wanted from us. So, if you believe in Michael’s dream, and I’m sure you do, then do this for him. Whether you can help somebody or not on August 29th, just let someone know you’re there and you care about them. If we can do this for one day, then that’s great. But, if we can maintain it for the best part of 365 days, like Michael did, then maybe there is hope for us? Baby steps, I know. But we can get there if we truly want to. We CAN make a change.

Heal the world, picture by Badusev

Let his dream and wishes for us, our children and our planet, be our mission to achieve, since he no longer can.

Our gift for you, Michael, will be what you tried to give us all your life – Love and a better world.

So, happy Birthday, Michael Jackson and thank you for the lessons you taught us through your words of wisdom and your songs that moved us in so many ways.

Thank you for the heart and spirit you inspired so many of us with. We love you more and always will.

i know that the thing i’m going to write will sounds like a crazy thing, but why we did not gather all the true fans of Michael Jackson and endorse a petition so that the US government undertakes to buy Neverland and turn it into a place where fans from around the world can go visit it?
I do not find peace because I think that this man was brought voluntarily to self-destruction and death, I wish all the fans around the world gathered to formally request justice and truth …… why do not we do it ??? ?

A law meant for people who slander the deceased. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyvCwkHsX7A&feature=youtu.be

Dialdancer, you are a marvel. People like you make history. Your initiative is absolutely essential and the law you are suggesting is a must to adopt.

I really can’t understand why the law allowing relatives of the deceased to sue the slanderer has not been adopted yet. Why are thugs like Robson and Safechuck allowed to sue the dead and the relatives of the dead can’t do the same towards the offender ruining the good name of their loved one? Why isn’t the law working both ways?

Guys, there is no time to lose over this. Just do it – sign the petition and contact your senators. Use your chance to change things given to you by your country. And remember that a small injustice will invariably turn into a big one. And please don’t think that the problem will bypass you. If the problem is there one day it may very well become yours too.

Here is the Petition with goal spelled out: http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/protect-the-legacy-of

Find your Senators & Contact them: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

    Contact President: http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/write-or-call#write

    Share with family & friends.
Ask them to endorse the Initiative so it may become a law.

I was reading this on a site called ‘truemichaeljackson.com’ and I recommend people to check it out.

And to find this out, that Michael was that caring and possibly even that lonely, at age 14, is pretty moving. That’s when he started to really get himself involved in charities and reaching out to people. At just age 14. He was pretty remarkable even back then.

“On December 23, 1972, in Los Angeles, California, the 14-year old singer and the Jackson 5, dressed as Santas, make their appearance at a Christmas party held at the Pacific Townclub, to visit and offer presents – on behalf of their record company, Motown – to 700 (according to some sources, others reporting a number of 400) underprivileged children. In an article, titled“The Jackson 5 Really Changed!”, the writer points out that “the first time the J-5 did a benefit at a children’s hospital, Michael came home and cried all night at the memory of all those sick children lying in beds, some not even able to move their hands to clap. That is when he became actively involved in communicating with these kids. He corresponds with youngsters his own age in hospitals all over the country. These are not letters dictated to a secretary by a superstar, but letters written in Michael’s own hand during breaks in recording or rehearsing or even in school”

Michael was born poor. He worked hard, often to the detriment of his health and life.He had the right to spend the money he earned and also he gave a huge proportion to humanitariean causes.

I think its better to spend money in helping the poor and the needed than in the new Sony/Estate’s MJ album. Michael doesn’t need money and fame anymore. His family took good care of his children. I just feel bad about old enemies of MJ use his songs and images to make money from people who love him, Do you people think they wouldn’t steal from him?! The same group of people still work hard to smear his name, and keep luring new “victim” of Michael Jackson to lie. It’s just disgusting. These kids are so ungrateful. If they were with other Hollywood celebrities, I doubt they would survive from any forms of addiction or abuse or even to file any complaint. Why don’t other suspicious child abusers go to the court to clear their names? The only one I absolutely sure and know in Hollywood who prove to be innocent and not a child abuser is Michael Jackson!! And the world still leave the rest alone and think perhaps MJ was guilty.

Thank you for all your kind words, everyone.
I’m very honored to be part of the VMJ family. That’s what we are – family. We’re not just a community of Michael’s fans and supporters. We’re a family. There’s a lot of love and heart that goes into we what we have here, which I doubt you can find in other celebrity camp.

I feel in this day and age, it’s so important to listen to what Michael had to say and to remember what he stood for.
All the postivity and love he’s inspired in each and everyone of us, is nothing short of amazing. Those that chose to listen to his heart and defy those that tried and still try to rip it out.
You do that to Michael, then you do that to all of our hearts.

That is something that will always be mercilessly attacked by those who don’t possess the hearts what the MJ Family have.

I’ve learned over the years not to be angry with those people that attack Michael and his family. They want you to be angry with them. They crave the conflicts.
People like that are not normal and honestly? They’re more to be pitied, I think.
But we’re only human and we can’t help but lose our tempers at times.
Don’t fight fire with fire with them, that’s my warning. You fight them be extinguishing their flames in the best way you can think of, that’s my advice.

The most important thing you can do? Tell the truth and nothing more. Ignore them after that. You tell the truth about Michael.
They’ll more than likely attack you again in order to provoke. But just walk away. Let them have the last word, because at the end of the day, it’s a hollow victory for them, if you can even call it that.

Michael’s spirit will NEVER be destroyed, no matter who tries to do it.
This family grows in numbers and grows stronger with each passing day.
Have haters and accusers won? Will they win? Absolutely not. It’s a losing battle.

Michael’s spirit grows with each song we play and with each positive thought we think.
Michael set out to inspire the best in all of us. A mission that a man once tried to do over 2000 years ago. It’s no different.
Michael tried to make us remember that man’s mission. To help remind a lost world what we’re supposed to do and what we should aspire to be.

And that’s why we, as a family, need to do all we can to continue Michael’s mission of remembrance. To remember to care and look after eachother. To help improve the world and the lives of those that suffer.

To help and save others, we help and save ourselves. That’s what Michael stood for. It’s what we should stand for.

Dear readers, please meet a new author in this blog. Those who have been following us know him very well by the name of newrodrigo. Now he has made a great tribute to Michael and said what many of us want to say to Michael and each other on this day.

I personally would like to thank Michael for the incredible way he brought us together. And for giving a feeling that we are very close to each other even despite the distances and living on opposite ends of the world. The world has suddenly become whole and one, and full of people who matter to you more than those who are in your immediate surrounding. The people around you may be some chance ones, but those whose hand Michael took and personally brought to you are special. If these are not the ties that can make the world a more peaceful place to live in, than I don’t know what it is.

Michael’s haters will never understand it. Understand that only a man with a very pure heart was capable of world miracles like that. So let them sit in their puddle of mud forever and see life relentlessly passing them by.
